Shane was appointed IPRS Aeromed Clinical Operations Manager in June 2016. He has 15 years of experience in the Ambulance service, in both NHS trusts and the private sector. As a Clinical Team Leader with the London Ambulance Service, he implemented "New Ways of Working" and "Team Based" working at a Central London station, to help improve the work-life balance of clinicians. After the London 2012 Olympics, where he worked as an Olympic Deployment Centre manager, he took up a new role as a HEMS Paramedic in Abu Dhabi with National Ambulance LLC. He worked closely with the Director of Operations in the project planning phase of setting up the first dedicated HEMS service to the Oil and Gas industry in the Middle East before being appointed as Area Manager for the Northern Emirates, where he was responsible for setting up and managing all aspects of the new ambulance service in the Emirates of Ras al-Khaimah and Um al-Quwain. Shane thus brings a wealth of experience in the Clinical and Operational management of Paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians and a range of remote and lone working medical staff. which will greatly aid IPRS Aeromed in moving forward in both repatriation medicine and other areas.
